Acquisition/Rehabilitation/Disposition Housing Project

The City anticipates funding one CHDO to carry out an acquisition/rehabilitation/resale project for an income-eligible first time homebuyer. The selected CHDO will: • Identify a suitable property within the City of Port Huron • Submit a project proposal including detailed scope, budget, and pro forma after site selection • Obtain City approval prior to acquisition • Complete rehabilitation in compliance with HOME regulations • Sell the home to an income-eligible homebuyer Property selection, underwriting, and subsidy layering review will occur after award and prior to commitment of HOME funds.
