How to respond to the BOP’s Leavenworth Redundant Core Project notice
What the BOP is planning
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking industry feedback on a planned redundant core radio system at FCI Leavenworth in Kansas. The project includes a 100-foot communications tower, a hardened equipment shelter and integration services.
The planned system is intended to provide backup for FCC Victorville and FCC Allenwood. This is a sources sought notice for market research, not a contract solicitation, and no contract will be awarded from it.
Dates and what happens at the deadline
The site visit is scheduled for November 5, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. local time at FCI Leavenworth. Vendors need approved NCIC background checks to attend, and forms are due October 28, 2026. Submit those forms to Tanner Marshall for processing.
Market research responses are requested by November 5, 2026. That is the deadline for feedback and company information, not a bid due date. The notice does not say that a contract will be awarded or that a formal solicitation will follow on that date.
