Only what you allow
You sign in on BiddingSimple, not in the chat, and grant a short list of permissions. Disconnect any time from the assistant's settings.
How to connect
In ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps (or Connectors) and choose Add.
- Search for BiddingSimple, or paste the server URL above if your workspace allows custom apps.
- Sign in to BiddingSimple when asked and approve the permissions.
- Start a chat: “Show me open electrical bids in Florida from BiddingSimple.”
In Claude
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it BiddingSimple and paste the server URL above. Leave the client ID and secret blank.
- Click Connect, sign in to BiddingSimple, and approve the permissions.
- Ask: “What matched my Radar this week on BiddingSimple?”
Custom connectors are available on Claude’s paid plans, including Claude Desktop and Claude Code.
Any assistant or tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol can use the same server URL. Developers: discovery is standard OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE; no keys to request.

- Is this free?
- Connecting is free for every BiddingSimple account. Free accounts get the same access they have on the site: bids posted on BiddingSimple, a taste of search results, five full bid reads a day. Pro members ($9/month) get full search, descriptions, source links and Radar matches.
- What does the assistant get access to?
- Only the permissions on the consent screen: searching and reading public bids on your behalf, your Radar matches, your saved list, and your vendor profile and membership status. It never sees your password. Sealed bidding and buyer tools are not available through connectors.
- Where does the data come from?
- The same place the website's data comes from: BiddingSimple's own index of open federal, state, county, city, school and transit solicitations across the United States, refreshed daily, plus bids agencies post directly on BiddingSimple. Every answer links to the bid page so you can verify the original posting.
- How do I disconnect?
- In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → BiddingSimple → Remove. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → BiddingSimple → Remove. Removing the connection revokes its access immediately.
