Small Businesses may also provide past performance of affiliates with documentation of affiliation.
Practical tips for preparing a competitive response
When describing your past projects, ensure each includes the name, title, project role, email address, and telephone number of at least one reference. These references may be contacted to verify project details. Clearly state the current percentage of construction complete and the completion date, size, scope, dollar value, and the percentage of work self-performed for each project.
For small businesses, remember that under FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, you must perform at least 15% of the cost of the contract, not including materials, with your own employees for general construction-type procurements. Be prepared to state the percentage of work you will self-perform on this project and how it will be accomplished. Ensure your capability statement fits within the space provided in the survey form.
