How to bid on office, lab, or industrial space for GSA in Columbus
What GSA is looking for
The Public Buildings Service is seeking owners or authorized representatives with 15,830 to 17,413 ABOA square feet of office, lab, or industrial space within Columbus city limits. The space must include a secured 4,000-square-foot wareyard and 39 reserved surface parking spaces, including four oversized trailer spaces.
The proposed lease term is 15 years: a 10-year firm term and a 5-year option. A fully serviced lease is required, and the offered space must meet the Government’s fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards. This RFI is an opportunity for eligible property owners and representatives to submit an expression of interest.
Key dates and the deadline
The notice was published September 30, 2026. Expressions of interest are due October 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM ET.
The market survey is estimated for November or December 2026. The occupancy date is listed as TBD. Submit by the stated deadline; the notice does not provide a process for late submissions.
Who this opportunity suits
This opportunity suits owners of commercial properties in Columbus, as well as authorized representatives submitting on an owner’s behalf. Properties should be able to meet the stated space range, wareyard, parking, lease, and building-standard requirements.
A representative who is not the property owner or manager must include written consent from the ownership authorizing the representative to provide the information to the Government.

Send the expression of interest to Linda D. Hattersley. Include the building name and address; the authorized representative’s contact information and email; available ABOA and rentable square footage, with floors and square footage identified; and the full-service rental rate and operating costs for both ABOA and rentable square feet. The notice gives two rate formats, one of which includes tenant improvement and BSAC allowances, so review the notice carefully when preparing the rate. Include ownership consent if required.
Prepare a clear, competitive expression of interest
Check that the property’s location and available area fit the stated limits, and clearly show how the wareyard and all 39 reserved surface spaces—including the four oversized trailer spaces—are provided.
Make the rate and operating-cost information easy to compare, and label ABOA and rentable square footage separately. Confirm that the authorized representative’s details are complete and that written ownership consent is attached when needed.
Review the stated building standards and lease requirements before submitting. Leave time to check the response for missing information and send it before the deadline.
