Carefully review the attached spreadsheet and any available Item Purchase Descriptions (IPDs) for the NSNs you are interested in. Understand the exact requirements of the brand-name items to accurately propose substitutes.
When providing supporting documentation for your proposed substitute products, be thorough and clear. Highlight how your product meets or exceeds the specifications of the original brand-name item. Ensure all documentation is lawfully obtained and can be disclosed to the government. Double-check that the NSN is clearly marked on every page of your supporting literature.
