Description of Anticipated Requirement: The United States Air Force (USAF) has a need to field a system capable of addressing the issues posed by Degraded Visual Environments (DVE). The HH-60W DVES solution shall provide real-time hazard detection in both enroute and terminal areas, displaying this information clearly on cockpit and cabin displays. It shall be designed to function effectively in a variety of DVE, including those created by ambient/aritificial conditions such as smoke, smog, snow, night sand/dust, etc and aircraft-induced conditions such as brownout/whiteout.
