SALE ADVERTISEMENT Dexter/Mary Farms 2026 Palmetto Frond Sale The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a three-year agreement for the harvesting of palmetto fronds from approximately 14,377 acres within the Dexter/Mary Farms Tract of Lake George State Forest (see attached map). Fronds may be harvested from saw palmetto (Serenoa repens), dwarf palmetto (Sabal minor) and scrub palmetto (Sabal etonia).
