The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to seek competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract to provide training for offenders within NCDAC Facilities to obtain Class A CDL License prior to release on an “as needed” basis if and when requested by the NC Department of Adult Correction during the contract period. Classes will be offered to offenders scheduled to be released within 12 months. This initiative will address the need for higher wages for former offenders and the need for truck drivers in the private sector and potential state jobs.
