Beaufort County Detention Center Gymnasium Conversion Project

Beaufort County hereby solicits sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors for the renovation and conversion of an existing gymnasium/common area located within the Beaufort County Detention Center into a dormitory-style inmate housing unit. The work generally consists of the renovation of an existing multipurpose space into a secure detention housing area with associated support facilities, including the construction of a new inmate shower room and related architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security improvements necessary for operational use.
