NASA is seeking companies interested in licensing rights to commercialize, manufacture, and market a lightweight, self-deployable helical antenna for SmallSat and other space communications uses. The antenna weighs at or below 2 grams, has a volume at or below 1.2 cm3, and provides at least 10 dBi gain; prototypes exist for S-, X-, and Ka-band applications.
