Bid guide
How to bid on study abroad programs for UNC–Chapel Hill
What UNC–Chapel Hill is buying
UNC–Chapel Hill is seeking qualified providers for study abroad programs, including custom faculty-led, direct-enrollment and study-center, internship, research, service-learning and community-engagement, and virtual programs.
The university plans to award a multi-provider convenience contract that creates a directory of pre-approved suppliers for its Study Abroad Office and/or Kenan-Flagler Business School. Current or future UNC System affiliates may also use the agreement. Proposals will be considered on factors that include price, geographic expertise and resources, and academic discipline expertise.
Key dates and deadline
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 30, 2026. The response deadline is November 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET.
Plan to submit before the deadline and follow the instructions in the solicitation posting. The opportunity is RFP 65-09252026-HGM.
Who this opportunity suits
This opportunity may suit experienced study abroad providers with capabilities in one or more of the listed program types. A firm does not need to cover every type listed in the RFP.
Providers should be prepared to explain their relevant geographic resources and academic discipline expertise, as well as the programs they offer.
How to access and respond
Open solicitation 65-09252026-HGM on North Carolina’s electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) to review the public posting and document list. Viewing does not require an account; submitting a response requires free eVP vendor registration.
Check the posting for the complete response instructions. Some North Carolina bids use the separate NC eProcurement (Ivalua) tool; otherwise, submit as the posting directs. The agency lists Hope Mills as the point of contact and provides [email protected].
Prepare a focused proposal
Identify the program types your firm can deliver and connect each to relevant experience, geographic resources, and academic expertise. Keep the response clear about what your firm offers and where its strengths lie.
Review the solicitation documents carefully, including any required forms and submission instructions. Attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting, allow time to complete eVP registration, and confirm that your response is submitted through the designated method before the deadline.
